(Before Hitler corrupted these symbols, they had a far more peaceful meaning. The swastika (in both counter-clockwise, as seen here, and Nazi-style clockwise forms) is actually an ancient symbol with various meanings, most frequently "sun" or "good luck". In Buddhism, the symbol stands for "Buddha's feet")

Ricoh only put the symbol in this typeface for people to use in marking the locations of Buddhist temples on maps and the like.
